We want to bring you the latest details of a massive prostitution sting that was carried out by local authorities yesterday and is continuing at this hour. Police say they arrested and charged about 260 women and a handful of men in a sting that involved over one hundred officers and the resources of two counties. A police spokesman said prostitution had gotten out of hand in this area and it just had to be done. All of the suspects either posted bail yesterday or were released on their own recognizance. Authorities tell us that hardened criminals like the man shown on your screen now have been particularly tough to dissuade from a life of sex-for-pay because they see them come through the system over and over again. Psychiatrists routinely explain the behavior as almost impossible to stop because, they say, it's not really the money that draws these lonely men to our streets --at $5 a trick no one's getting rich--, but rather, psychiatrists say, many of these men actually pay their clients because they're "just too damned ugly to get laid any other way.
