The United States Secret Service has brought some excitement to this neighborhood today as they deploy about 150 National Guard troops around a residence just behind our location and prepare to serve a warrant on a local citizen under the new "Dollars for Terrorists" law, adopted by the current administration several months ago. This will be the first time the new law has been implemented, but supporters of "A Secure America" applaud the crackdown on suspected terrorists, reasoning that they want to be as safe as they can be. The new law gives the President nearly unlimited powers in the identification and apprehension of anyone, anywhere in the world deemed to be a clear and present danger to the Presidency, or the American Way of Life. Apparently the actions of this suspect, shown on your screen now, were brought to the attention of the Secret Service yesterday when a permanent wire-tap on all telephones in the county triggered a red flag in a command center in the Pentagon due to the suspect's use of the phrase, "the president is a moron". That simple phrase, which the suspect used in an otherwise innocent telephone conversation with a friend, was enough to automatically set the machinery of anti-terrorism law enforcement agencies into motion, and it appears the individual will be taken into custody within moments. Agents tell us they hope to take the suspect alive, but off the record they say the odds of that are slim to none. And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
