County utility workers have announced that they have finally discovered the source of the natural gas leak that forced the evacuation of thousands of residents and business-people in this neighborhood earlier today. You may recall that the incident began early last night when anti-terrorism toxic gas sensors in the area began triggering for the presence of large quantities of what was eventually identified as natural gas. A 1.5 mile radius was evacuated as a precaution and all major gas lines to the area were shut down, but the gas leak persisted and authorities were at a loss for most of the day to explain the buildup of dangerous gas. The mystery was finally solved, however, when a family member contacted authorities and explained that this individual, shown on your screen now, had been served a large portion of pork and beans last evening, and the result was more of a natural phenomenon than a terrorist attack. The family has formally apologized for the oversight, insisting that they generally make the perpetrator drive a distance out of town on those days of the month that the favorite dish is served. This walking natural gas generator has promised to take steps so that nothing of this sort happens again. Meanwhile, the county is considering asking for restitution. And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
