We’re following a breaking story in this neighborhood, involving what police say may be the well-known sidewalk stripper. Police tactical units tell us they’re closing in on the individual they believe is responsible for a string of flashing incidents that started several months ago. You may recall that this individual was reported walking up to shoppers and passersby, exposing themselves in full public view, sometimes singing a song called, I-gotta-be-me. Witnesses say this pervert sometimes sang on key, and sometimes not, but whatever they might have thought of this person’s vocal talents, it was clear the perpetrator shouldn’t have been flashing but should have kept themselves well covered. Prosecutors say they’re standing by in an emergency session to throw the book at this deviant and swat teams say they hope to take the suspect alive.
