Police and local authorities are working to avoid any panic in the public as eyewitnesses report sighting hundreds of unidentifiable objects in the sky locally that many are calling “other worldly.” numerous reports are also coming in to our studio from witnesses who claim to have seen strange human-like figures lurking around the area of the original sightings. The map on your screen now shows the concentrations of the highest number of reported sightings coming in at this hour. We have this exclusive image of the humanoid forms, taken just minutes ago by our own channel 54 news photographer, which is typical of what most people are reporting. Police say crowds continue to make their way to the area to try to glimpse something themselves, although authorities caution people to stay away until they can properly investigate the phenomenon. So far, officers from the nearby air force base have denied any knowledge of the objects, but witnesses tell us the area is "overflowing" with military jets and helicopters. Police maintain that there is no danger and most likely the objects are nothing more than radio controlled toys, operated by teenagers just out to have fun. We'll keep you updated on this unfolding story. And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
